Champions League FinalThe Champions League Final is fast approaching and will bring about the end of the incredible competition so far.  The Champions League Final will be taking place in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, on the 26th of May, which means we’re only 19 short days away from finding out who will be taking home the European Champions Clubs’ Cup.  Real Madrid’s star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, was unexpectedly hurt in their past game against Portugal as he was scoring Real Madrid’s first goal of the game.  Ronaldo continued to play until the end of the first half, where he retired and was replaced.

News came out shortly after that Ronaldo was suffering from an injury to his ankle and his inclusion in the Champions League Final at Kiev against Liverpool was cast into doubt.

Real Madrid Manager Makes Announcement Ahead of Champions League Final

The manager of Real Madrid, former player Zinedine Zidane was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury and was quoted as saying,

‘He’s not great right now but I think it’s going to be a small thing – it was only a bad movement.’  And, ‘I can’t say how long he’ll be out for. Tomorrow he’ll have a scan.’

However, Cristiano Ronaldo is fully expected to be able to play in the Champions League Final.

If Real Madrid is successful in the match against Liverpool, it’ll finally give them the chance to take home the European Champion Clubs’ Cup home for the third successive season.
